The Children's Clinic of Klamath: The Pediatric Difference
We believe that children need health care providers who are specially trained in children's medicine.
Kids are not little adults.
Their labs, x-rays and problems are different and they can get sicker quicker than adults because their immune systems are still developing. Very young children cannot communicate well, so it is critical to know children's diseases.
What is a Pediatrician?
A Pediatrician is a doctor who has completed a minimum of 4 years of medical school and 3 years of specialized training, exclusively in the needs and concerns of children.
Additionally, Pediatricians complete at least 30 hours of continuing education each year, again, exclusively studying children and their specific needs.
In summary...
A Pediatrician is a well-trained health care provider for children, exclusively. In time of crisis or critical illness, these specialists may be better able to assist your child.
We offer 24 hour nursing triage advice.
If you are pregnant, call us to schedule a free pre-delivery consultation.
