How to Talk With Kids About Tragedies & Other Traumatic News Events
The Oregon Pediatric Society and The Children's Clinic of Klamath are heartbroken by the shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend. We grieve with the families who lost a child or loved one, and we hold close the students, educators, and first responders whose lives were changed.
Children everywhere may have questions and big feelings in the coming days. In times like this, pediatric providers often become a steady source of support for children and families. We are sharing a list of resources to help our members and the families they serve through this hard time. We invite you to use and share them as needed.
